When this happens, I affectionately refer to them as "the Peanut Gallery".
For example, a client's mother, father, brother, and grandmother (all in Spirit) showed up for the reading. When the conversation meandered into the subject of the client's current life situation, the mother and grandmother agreed with the client, but the father did not agree and the brother abstained. "Just like when they were here," my client commented.
When this happens, I frequently remind and strongly suggest to my clients the following:
- keep in mind the personality and essence of your spirit family and friends (introvert vs extrovert, comforting vs bossy, etc)
- the relationship you have with them may be different from the relationships they have with each other
- your loved ones in Spirit can only offer their opinions (not 100% certainty) regarding a situation or possible future outcome
- listen to your own soul's guidance
- you have free will to choose your reaction to events
Those in spirit can be generous or stingy with their advice. And keeping the above in perspective can assist you in understanding how Spirit works in your life, including their limitations and their glorious support.
How wonderful it is that thru mediumship we have the opportunity to reconnect with our loved ones in Spirit and have a conversation of sorts with the Peanut Gallery!
