Have you ever noticed ...
When you stub your toe, it hurts horribly. You're screaming in pain and your toe is throbbing its own sob story. And then a few days later if someone asks you how your toe is feeling, you pause a moment and think "my toe?"
You pause because you FORGOT ABOUT IT. Then, you remember.
Oh, that's right ... my toe was hurting so bad that I yelled, cried, and perhaps punctuated it with a few choice words. Reports of screams heard in at least a 2 mile radius have surfaced. But now, it's only a vague memory.
Funny how life is sometimes.
If you think back to other moments in your personal history, you may have that same vagueness about other painful events that seemed sooooo important at the time --- even people or situations that effected you in bigger ways than a toe-stubbing. Some events should.
My point is that we don't have to live from the pain of a moment from the past anymore. It is gone. We can triumph over it by letting it go and by allowing good events and good attitudes to carry us forward to healthy expressions for our mind, body, and spirit.
Bottomline: You are an amazing healer. If you are going through a painful time, just know that you will find good in another moment. You will find that next space of Light in your Life. Your life will be so good that when someone asks you about your 'toe-stubbing' you will have forgotten it.
