Seeing spirit in side vision

Q: Have you ever caught a flash of something out of the corner of your eye? And felt it was a spirit loved one, but when you turned to look POOF it was gone?

A: Yes, frequently. This can be frustrating, but I think I understand some of the reasons why this happens and what we can do about it.

First, peripheral (side) vision is supposed to be blurry or not clear. After all, with normal sight we see one focused area clearly at a time (called centralization). When we attempt to see everything clearly the physical eyesight becomes diffused and strained. Locking on one point or staring is not healthy for vision, attitude, or spirit contact. A person with clear vision is constantly moving from one point of interest to another, centralizing as necessary.

Second, seeing spirit in peripheral vision seems to engage the intuitive self. Normally, looking head on at somone or something engages the logical mind. This can make spirit go POOF! in physical eyes. How do we blend this experience?

I believe we can retrain ourselves to experience spirit contact clairvoyantly. Here is one way I have retrained my mind to work with spirit and peripheral vision:

  1. When I see spirit in my peripheral vision (instead of whipping my head around to look face on), I sit back and record the experience. I don't want to engage my logical mind at this time. I will have time to think about it later.
  2. Slowly, by small degrees, I shift my head. As long as spirit is still there, I allow the experience to unfold.
  3. The next time, I shift my head more, keeping spirit in sight mostly.
  4. After a few times of doing this, I am able to see spirit face on. I guess my logical mind is finally convinced.
  5. After many times of doing this, I am able to shift easily with spirit whether the spirit is in my side vision or in my central vision.

Eventually, after practicing this a few (or many) times, you may see spirit better too. At all times, I encourage you to practice good natural vision habits. Enjoy seeing spirit!

My example of this: I was sitting with my sister-in-law at my Aunt's bedside as kind of a hospice vigil. She didn't pass that night but her breathing became almost non existent and the room became very peaceful and filled with love. I was talking quietly with my sister-in-law and abruptly stopped and turned because I was "startled" by someone coming up behind/beside me. My literal mind knew there was no one else in the room and the only thing on that side of me was the bathroom door. My sister-in-law, didn't see anything other than my reaction and the mood of the room prior to my abrupt movement. I believe it was spirit, coming to sit vigil with my Aunt as well and help guide her home. My heart was open but my logical mind won out... that time anyway.... Willa i think i am seeing a spirit in my peripheral sight for several weeks now.she ks wearing white clothing.i think it is my twin sisters husbands deceased grandmother. What do you think it means?

Flashes of light

I am a medium , so I 'see' things. *smile* Well, every now and then, I see a small light. (And I don't mean an orb or a light flying around the room like Tinkerbell.) I am talking about a small pinprick of light that remains stationary and lasts for 2-3 seconds. It resembles a star from the night sky, albeit a very miniature one. This little 'flash of light' is a spirit. Sometimes I see a 'flash of light' (or a miniature star) around clients during readings --- either near the client's chair or in another part of the room. Also, I remember seeing them in a museum, on the trail in the woods, here at home, and at church. When I see that pinprick of light, I focus on asking the spirit to provide me with more information and to share their essence . Timeframe for spirit contact

Q: My mom just died unexpectedly last week. Is it too soon for me to try to make contact with her through you? I vaguely remember someone telling me that they're not "available" right after they pass? Is there a general timeframe? Please let me know. Thank you. A: There is no official wait time before establishing communication with a spirit loved one. I have noticed some spirits are ready to communicate immediately and other spirits take longer.
