Responding to God

"After centuries of knowing God through faith, we are now ready to understand divine intelligience directly." ~ Deepak Chopra

In fact, Divine Intelligience is being revealed in all of the moments of our lives.  Whether we experience a flash of ecstasy, restful awareness, intuition, unity, or a fight or flight response, we are experiencing God.

Some examples of God experiences are:
  • In the midst of danger, you feel suddenly cared for and protected.
  • You deeply fear a crisis in your personal life, but when it comes, you experience a sudden calmness.
  • A stranger makes you feel a sudden rush of love.
  • An infant or young child looks into your eyes, and for a moment you believe that an old soul is looking at you.
  • In the presence of death, you feel the passing of wings.
  • Looking at the sky, you have a sense of infinite space.
  • A stunning glimpse of beauty makes you forget for a second who you are.
No doubt you have experienced some, if not all, of the above examples.  And according to neuroscientists, whenever you have any such experiences, your brain has responded in an unusual way --- it has responded to God.

Those who search for God hope to see the one, true, final God who will settle all doubts - instead seekers are given clues.  Perhaps we feel unable to take in the totality of God.  Nevertheless, we get hints from the brain (which has an amazing ability to insert a glimpse of spirit in the most mundane situations) and from our intuitive responses to experiences.

Getting close to God through a true knowing heals the fear of death, confirms the existence of the soul, and gives ultimate meaning to Life.  This is what I know I have found through my study of mediumship, Spiritualism, and myself.

Dear Friends,
In regards to the subject of getting to know God I like to share a passage from one of Jane Robert's books, “Seth Speaks” that resonates with me. Seth is a none physical entity who’s wisdom, insight and knowledge was channeled by Jane Roberts in the 70’s. She and Seth produced over a dozen books. And I quote Seth,
"What many want is a God who walks down the street and says, Happy Sunday, I am I, Follow me. But God is hidden craftily in his creations, so that he is what they are and they are what he is; and in knowing them, you know him. Actually, you are with God now. It is you who does not realize this. All That Is, is now, and you are a part of All That Is now. You are spirit now", unquote. Hope you find this of value.

Lily Dale: The Season

"The Season". *** To those of you are not familiar with Lily Dale, this phrase may seem to indicate the time of year (winter, spring, summer, fall). But for those who know and love Lily Dale, it's so much more. And I shall attempt to describe some of "The Season" to you now. Running from usually the last weekend of June until the day before Labor Day, "The Season" takes place during the summer months in a spiritual community called Lily Dale. Whether summer visitors come for a day, a week, a month, or a season, they mention that they feel "an amazing peace when I enter the gate". For many, "The Season" has been a time for spiritual pilgrimage and renewal, education and fellowship, evidence of spirit contact, and healing. During "The Season", there is plenty to do every minute of the day. The schedule is abundant with healing services, spirit message services, thought exchanges, lectures, circles, seminars, and classes. In ...

Flashes of light

I am a medium , so I 'see' things. *smile* Well, every now and then, I see a small light. (And I don't mean an orb or a light flying around the room like Tinkerbell.) I am talking about a small pinprick of light that remains stationary and lasts for 2-3 seconds. It resembles a star from the night sky, albeit a very miniature one. This little 'flash of light' is a spirit. Sometimes I see a 'flash of light' (or a miniature star) around clients during readings --- either near the client's chair or in another part of the room. Also, I remember seeing them in a museum, on the trail in the woods, here at home, and at church. When I see that pinprick of light, I focus on asking the spirit to provide me with more information and to share their essence . Much like seeing spirit in side vision , it's a way that we can perceive those in spirit. These flashes of light are just another way for spirit loved ones to communicate that they are with us. In fact, some...

Your job during a mediumship reading

If you are the person who is receiving a mediumship reading and desiring spirit contact, you have a very important job --- CONFIRMATION. This means confirmation either by your own personal knowledge or thru the personal knowledge of another person known to the spirit. During the course of the mediumship reading, you can confirm the information that you know to be true. And some information may require validation after the reading with friends or other family members who are privy to this certain info. Here are some examples of ways in which a spirit may try to validate who they are: The spirit's personality traits or physical characteristics may be described. This is part of what I call the Essence of Spirit . Most spirits are willing to share how they passed with the medium. Sometimes the spirit will give names very clearly or just the initial. Often spirits will give important dates of reference to further validate themselves. They have been known to mention other family members,...
