Perhaps you notice in non-lucid moments, that your loved one is “out” of their body a bit. Or perhaps you observe their soul hovering when they are sleeping.
The withdrawl of the astral body during unconscious states is normal and especially frequent with those experiencing Alzheimers, dementia, and/or the dying process.
There is one wonderful benefit when this happens ... During unconscious states, you can speak with their soul. Their soul knows the Truth.
Remember that communication with the Soul goes beyond memory loss, forgetfulness, cognitive function, and consciousness… this is soul contact. And soul contact is a valuable tool to maintain a sense of continued connection with loved ones.
How do you speak to the Soul?
Speak to their Divine Self.
Allow your higher self to speak with their higher self.
Use gentle, unconditionally-loving words and thoughts. This is also a wonderful way to resolve negative feelings and create/maintain a healthy relationship.
This soul communication will bridge the gap between your reality and theirs. And also promote peace, comfort, and healing.
Another benefit is that you are getting practice for communicating with them when they no longer have a physical body. Take delight is the continued communication and know that you are bridging the gap with Love.

I found this post after researching "Soul communication dementia"
My mother has Alzheimer's and recently while I was on a drive with her she made a comment that is very uncharacteristic for her condition. You see people with Alzheimer's only respond to something that can sense immediately and they only seem to live in that moment. But my mother "out of the blue" thanked me for representing our family by going to an out of town funeral a few weeks before. A few moments before this I had wished to speak her about it but didn't want to remind her of a sad subject. I can only believe that our souls communicated in that moment and thus I have been thinking quite a lot about this idea ever since.
I am anxious to check out more of this blog. Thank you for sharing your spiritual wisdom. I have recently come to understand my own. I listen to my inner voice and journal the wisdom teaching I receive.
