Direct vs Indirect public mediumship

For the past few days, I have been giving lots of spirit messages during the 5:30 p.m. Message Service at the Inspiration Stump.  This is due to the fact that this particular week, my mother Bonnie White is the chairperson for this service so I am helping her out.  (It's good to support family!)  Before today's message service, another medium and I were discussing the different styles of public mediumship (aka standup messagework).  The two main methods are direct and indirect. Let's start with Indirect :   With the indirect method, the medium gives out a few pieces of information and then sees who can take the message.  Many people refer to this as British-style mediumship.  Typically, it takes a bit more time to give the message because of working to identify the recipient.  Often, more than one person can accept the message and there can be a bit of back and forth to establish what pieces of information the various audience members can accept.  Direct :  As the

Featured Medium 8-26-2015 at Auditorium service

On Wednesday August 26th, I will be the Featured Medium at the afternoon church service in Lily Dale.    During the summer season, the afternoon services are held in Lily Dale's historic Auditorium starting at 2:30 p.m. The Auditorium platform has been a place for speakers of spiritual philosophy, social causes, and Spiritualism. Several big names have spoken there - Susan B. Anthony, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, and more! I have had the honor of speaking on the summer platform for over a decade. For those of you who are not familiar with this service, here is a basic outline for this one hour event: Lecture from the featured speaker - on this particular date, my father William White will present a lecture on a spiritual subject. Messages from Spirit - demonstrations of mediumship are presented by the medium (me, this Sunday).
